Over the past few weeks, we've been lucky enough to sit down with some of our very own. Read on as we delve into the stories and inspirations behind these remarkable women shaping the landscape of fashion.
Samantha | Fendi, Store Manager
Hi, my name is Samantha. I am the Store Manager at Fendi. I've been at the Americana Manhasset for 2 years.
Q: Growing up, what was your dream job?
A: My dream job was an event planner, I've always had good ideas and I always wanted to do something different that no one else has done.
Q: What is your favorite styling tip/fashion hack?
A: Stay true to your body type, just because something is a trend does not mean it will work on every BODY. Stay true to your authentic style.
Q: Styling trends to look out for this Spring?
A: My favorite style trend for spring that I'm loving right now would have to be track pants-you can pair them with the matching zip up track top, dress them up with a button down or wear them with a heel and a blazer.
Q: If you could have lunch with one fashion icon, who would it be?
A: Victoria Beckham- I've always been obsessed with her style-she's minimal, chic and sharp, she's not afraid to experiment with different trends but she always manages to put her own unique spin on things. She also always knows how to elevate an outfit with the right jewelry shoes or bag.
Q: Best part about your position and working at Fendi?
A: Working for a prestigious brand with history that dates back 100 years this year. It's amazing to be a part of an organization at this monumental time.
Q: Tote bag or clutch?
A: Tote, I'm a mom on the go I always need a roomy bag.
Q: Best sellers in store?
A: Peekaboo Bag- it’s a timeless iconic bag that’s part of Fendi’s DNA.
Q: Go-to coffee order before work?
A: Iced coffee with almond milk.
Hi I'm Theresa. I am the Store Manager for Valentino. I've been working at Americana for almost 2 years now.
Q: Growing up, what was your dream job?
A: Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to become a professional dancer or actress, but then my mom took me to work with her when she worked for a lingerie company and I fell in love with the fashion industry. Since then I knew I wanted to work in fashion but as a buyer.
Q: What is your favorite styling tip/fashion hack?
A: You can never go wrong with the right pair of shoes. The right pair can elevate even the most casual outfit like jeans and a t-shirt.
Q: Styling trends to look out for this Spring?
A: Ballet flats.
Q: If you could have lunch with one fashion icon, who would it be?
A: That would have to be the iconic Anna Wintour, and maybe she will let me go into the Vogue fashion closet. LOL
Q: Best part about your position and working at Valentino?
A: I get to work for an Italian Maison company. The attention to detail is impeccable, and I love telling my clients about how each piece is made.
Q: Tote bag or clutch?
A: Both styles are great, and I love both. It all depends on the occasion. Most days I go with a tote or larger bag to carry all my stuff to work. I save the clutch or smaller bags for when I go out with friends.
Q: Best sellers in store?
A: Our best sellers are our iconic Rock Stud Pumps
Q: Go-to coffee before work?
In the morning I keep it simple. Just a vanilla or hazelnut coffee with oat milk and a little bit of sugar.
