Zac Posen Hosts Fashion Show Luncheon for Brooks Brothers Women's Collection
June 6, 2019
Food, fashion and one fabulous designer! Zac Posen delivered a recipe for success when he made a special visit to Americana Manhasset to host a fashion show luncheon at Toku. "This center is beautiful and it's amazing to see so many women interpret my designs in such unique ways," said Posen, who in addition to designing his own namesake collection, has served as Brooks Brothers women's creative director since 2014. Joining him at his table for spirited conversation over cocktails and shrimp dumplings were Brooks Brothers ceo Claudio Del Vecchio and his wife, Debra, Americana Manhasset co-principals Frank and Rita Castagna as well as other senior members of the Castagna Realty family.
The sold-out audience of Personal Shopping clients, fashionphiles and Posen fans (many citing his memorable stint as a "Project Runway" judge and his blockbuster runway shows) at Toku enjoyed a fashion presentation of chic Brooks Brothers women's looks -- with more than one guest snapping photos of dresses and coats and suiting separates that they eagerly anticipated trying on back in the store. Following lunch, and several rounds of photo ops and selfies, Posen made his way back to the Brooks Brothers store to work with clients, provide personal styling advice and enjoy a bit of dessert in the form of his signature chocolate chip cookies (baked fresh by Cipollini). He even had plenty of advice for one teenage fan, an aspiring designer headed to the Fashion Institute of Technology this fall: "Never give up. Never stop believing. Never stop dreaming."
